Internationally known ear candling experts visited Naturhelix

It has been a great honour and pleasure for us to receive two internationally known ear candling experts as our guests. Lesley Hart and Mary Dalgleish, acknowledged therapists and tutors are the co-authors of “Ear Candling in Essence” and “Indian Head Massage in Essence” published by Hodder Arnold.

Clearing up a misunderstanding: residue in the ear candle

We would like to clear up a reoccurring misunderstanding concerning how the ear candle works. If you open up the candle after the ear candle treatment, a yellowish-brown wax-like material can be found within the candle. This material is very similar to earwax but this is the residue of the candle after being burnt. When burning, the ear candle produces a slight vacuum. However, this vacuum is not strong enough to have such a drastic effect and that would not be the aim of the treatment. A proper ear candling treatment loosens up the earwax which is gradually expelled during sleep – usually within two days after the treatment.
The above mentioned apply to body candle and chakra candle treatments, too. The material within the candle after the treatment is the residue of the candle after being burnt.
You can check it easily: by burning any kind of these candles (ear, body or chakra candles) far from the body you will find the very same residue (i.e. yellowish wax and white powder) within the candle.
Experienced ear candling therapists say that the consistence and colour of the residue refers to the disease of the client. However, we cannot prove it, so please consult the ear candling therapist who treated you (in case you were treated by a therapist).

Khanty Shaman (Perhaps there are no coincidences)

One of the colleagues of our company was watching a documentary “The Khanty Shaman’s Legacy” on Duna channel. The Khanty and Mansi are indigenous tribes living in Siberia (Russia, former Soviet Union). Both tribes are the closest relatives of Hungarian people. To the greatest surprise of our colleague the documentary showed a proper ear candling treatment. (click here to watch) The Khanty father treated his daughter with a self-made ear candle. We found out that ear candling is a well-known healing technique among them and this knowledge is passed on from father to son.
As you see, ear candling dates back to ancient times. Apart from the famous rock painting in Grand Canyon, historical findings in Egypt and China, Hungarian ethnographers discovered that the ancient Hungarian people applied ear candling, too.
